RVA’s celebrated Chef Andy Howell will be collaborating with Anderson’s Neck Oyster Company in order to host Richmond’s first ever Oyster “Informal” at Camden’s Dogtown Market.

According to Chef Howell, “Instead of the usual, multi-course, well laid out and perfectly paired wine dinner (stop laughing) I usually commit, this will be a far more casual event where you can choose what you’d like to pair with your meal, and order as much as you’d like! I’ll have at least 5 different sauces to go with your oysters, and 5 tasty sparklers and still wines that are built for bivalves! For those of you that have an involuntary gag reflex toward raw oysters, I will offer to put some in the oven or fryer to order…just give me an idea of whether you’re of that persuasion when you rsvp so I can properly prep for that occurrence.”

But Chef Howell won’t stop with just oysters and bubbly: “Then, just to keep the “Informal” going, we’ll be sticking around to watch the Redskins probably get their asses handed to them by the Cowboys (the only time of year that I actually root for the home team!) on the big screen! I’ll be frying up some superior chicken wings with all the fixins (including housemade blue cheese dressing & celery). And only because I want to stress the “informalness,”anyone wearing a Skins jersey gets the 1st half dozen wings on me!”

So if you want to enjoy some oysters, wine, football, and heck even some chicken wings at RVA’s first Oyster Informal, come join us at Camden’s!
