Our Öyster Weizen beer commemorates the unique way Chesapeake Bay waterman pronounce the word oyster (pronounced Erster). The German Ö (that’s an Umlaut if you were wondering) sounds very similar to “Er” and so our Öyster Weizen German style wheat beer was born!
If you work on our farm long enough and someone starts whining because of the miserable weather or excruciatingly hard work, you will almost be guaranteed to hear “Shuck It Up” from the other crew members. We thought the saying was a perfect complement for our Öyster Weizen T-Shirt.
